Mission/Core purpose of the Job:
- Implement technologies and systems that meet the needs of Coop’s Customers and Staff
- Delivery of technology solutions that support current and future programs.
- Work with Head, IST to exchange best practice, develop cross-government strategic direction and deploy systems that support Coop’s business around Financial Services.
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- IST operations & support – varying tasks including report generation, vendor engagement & technical support
- Provides basic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for computer equipment and may assist with testing personal computers and peripherals on a network to diagnose, hardware versus software problems.
- Write codes and test software based upon software specifications and design
- Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
- Recommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software
- Maintain and improve the performance of existing software

Knowledge & Skills Required
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Proficiency in .NET MVC, Web APIs and .NET Core
- Proficiency in React JS for Web and React Native for Mobile Development
- Understanding of Angular
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform Tools. Specifically, Power Apps, Sharepoint, Power Automate and Microsoft Forms
- Good knowledge of SQL and Database Administration
- Estimation and budget scoping skills
- Good communication and inter-personal skills.
- Good experience in customer services.
- Good knowledge of IT Administration and Management of IT Operation.
- Good Microsoft Office skills with knowledge of O365 administration.
- High problem-solving ability with algorithms and data structures.
- Code and test software based upon software specifications and design.
- Time Management

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software

Key Performance Indicators
- Percentage of projects to be completed within the agreed upon / acceptable period.
- Percentage of support service request resolved within the agreed upon / acceptable period.
- Percentage of software outage (unavailability) due to implementation of planned changes relative to service hours.
- Percentage of outage (unavailability) due to incidents in the IT environment, relative to service hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of second-class Lower division.
- Minimum of 3 years’ cognate work experience from a reputable organization/Institution
- Experience in IT operation
- Possession of ITIL or any other related certification(s) will be an advantage
