Mission\/Core Purpose of the Job:<\/strong><\/p>\n
    \n
  • Providing regular financial reports, as and when they are needed.<\/li>\n
  • Managing expenditure, credit, payroll, and investments.<\/li>\n
  • Advising managers on financial policy and control, such as the costs and benefits of a particular project;<\/li>\n
  • Dealing with, and advising on tax issues, ensuring compliance with tax legislation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Specific Duties & Responsibilities: (<\/strong> Strategic)<\/strong><\/p>\n
    \n
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 accuracy, completeness, and conformance to procedural standards<\/li>\n
  • Prepare Bank reconciliation statement<\/li>\n
  • Posting to ledgers and reconciling sub-ledger to General ledger<\/li>\n
  • Prepare bank, receipt, and journal vouchers<\/li>\n
  • Update fixed assets register for each addition of assets and prepare depreciation on each asset.<\/li>\n
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.<\/li>\n
  • Reviewing, implementing, and adopting new and existing financial systems and controls.<\/li>\n
  • Producing and analyzing annual and monthly accounts.<\/li>\n
  • Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.<\/li>\n
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Know-How And Experience<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Excellent planning skills and ability to interact with all levels.<\/li>\n
    • Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.<\/li>\n
    • Must understand the use of accounting software.<\/li>\n
    • Must be focused and result-oriented.<\/li>\n
    • Able to work independently and highly meticulous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Key Performance Indicators<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Improved turn-around-time in \u00a0resolving customer complaints<\/li>\n
      • Ability to cross-sell varying products from the Cooperative<\/li>\n
      • Timeliness in packing of credit products for Co-operators<\/li>\n
      • Lack of Non-performing loan<\/li>\n
      • Timely regularizing of any assigned delinquent loan from Cooperators on Cross posting or owing Cooperators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Qualifications & Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Bachelor\u2019s degree in a recognized university with a minimum of second class lower division.<\/li>\n
        • Minimum of 3-5 years experience from a reputable organization\/Institution<\/li>\n
        • professional certification<\/strong> will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Knowledge & Skills Required<\/strong><\/p>\n
